No experience? Not sure if climbing is for you? Enroll in our Explore Climbing program, and receive three hours of instruction on climbing safety and technique. You'll also receive a complimentary one-month membership at the Quarry; AND, we will waive your enrollment fee ($59/person for two or more participants) if you elect to sign up for a membership upon completion of Explore Climbing. •Merit Badge

The Quarry offers personalized, hands-on instruction for Boy Scout Troops that enables scouts ages 12-18 to earn the Climbing Merit Badge. The instruction each scout receives satisfies all requirements for the merit badge including:

•40 ft rappels
•Knot Instruction
•Climbing Technique
•Care of Rope and Equipment
•Top Rope Climbing
•Belaying
•Bouldering
•Safety and Emergency Precautions

Each troop will receive two nights of instruction, two hours per night, for a total of up to five hours spent with our BSA certified merit badge counselor. Merit badge instruction happens on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights. Leaders should call ahead of time to schedule a troop outing, and to obtain waivers which must be signed by each scout's parent ahead of time.

PRICE: $30 per scout with a five-scout minimum. Price covers all gym and equipment rental fees.

SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT!
Instruction is given by a BSA merit badge counselor. We want to teach the scouts how to be safe, responsible climbers, and how to have fun and enjoy climbing.

•YCP

YCP (Youth Certification Program) is only $29.
YCP is for youth ages 12-15. All youth of these ages must pass YCP before they are allowed to climb at the Quarry without supervision. This class is taught every Saturday afternoon at 4 PM.
YCP also certifies the youth to belay. They are able to belay others who are YCP certified or 16 and older.

•Lead Climbing

•The Lead Climbing Class is $99 ($59/person for two or more participants). This class includes lead climbing certification. This is our most popular class, and will fast track you to lead climbing safely and confidently on the Quarry's tallest walls.
•The class consists of two two hour classes. This is done individually with an instructor at your convenience. The most valuable aspect of the class is learning to properly LEAD BELAY.
•This class will prepare you to climb safely outside (taking advantage of the world class climbing in all of the surrounding canyons)
.•Lead certification allows you to lead at the Quarry without
taking our lead class. This certification is for experienced lead climbers only.
•Lead certification $5 (free for members).

•Path to Mastery

This is our hard-core training for rock climbers. It consists of nine training blocks progressing from beginner to expert levels. Each block consists of two 1.5 hour training sessions.

•Yoga

•Yoga is held Monday and Wednesday mornings from 7:00 AM- 8:00 AM, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and is free for Quarry members.

•The cross-over benefits of yoga and climbing are numerous. Come increase your flexibility, breath control, core strength, and stamina.
